Player Biography: Gerald Henderson played high school basketball at Episcopal Academy in Merion, Pennsylvania. In his senior season, Henderson averaged 21.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. This top-fifteen recruit (#11 Rivals; #15 Scout) signed with Duke over other schools, including North Carolina, Wake Forest, and Villanova. Henderson played under 20 mpg in his freshman season, averaging 6.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. Henderson started as a sophomore for the Blue Devils and nearly doubled his points and rebounds averages, averaging 12.7 points to go along with 4.7 rebounds per game. Now in his junior season, Henderson has significantly increased his scoring average and is shooting better from the field while exhibiting the athleticism and finishing ability that impresses scouts. Henderson was a 2009 First Team All-ACC selection.
