Player Biography: Lawal was a top 30 recruit (#29 Rivals; #20 Scout) out of Norcross High School in Norcross, Georgia. Lawal played limited minutes as a freshman at Georgia Tech, but played nearly 30 minutes per game as a sophomore. His 15.1 points and 9.5 rebounds per game earned him 2009 Third Team All-ACC honors. Lawal is very athletic for his size and can run the floor well. He plays in a raw fashion and does not have a strong post game, but can use his size and strength to finish around the rim. Though his game is not developed yet, Lawal has very high potential to become a great NBA player.
