Player Biography: Eric Maynor entered VCU as an unheralded recruit out, playing limited minutes his freshman season. Entering his sophomore year, he won a starting spot for the Rams in his sophomore season and averaged 13.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.4 assists, earning First Team All-CAA honors. Maynor received national attention in the 2007 NCAA tournament with a 15-foot jump shot that put VCU ahead of Duke 79-77 with 1.8 seconds left. Following his tournament success, Maynor raised his scoring as a junior, averaging 17.9 points, and was named CAA Player of the Year along with First Team All-CAA honors. Now a senior, Maynor has built on an incredible junior season, averaging over twenty points and six assists per game.
