Player Biography: Greg Monroe, a top-rated recruit (Rivals #8, Scout #2 PF), played high school basketball at Helen Cox High School in Lousiana, where earned McDonald's All-American honors. As a freshman at Georgetown, Monroe had solid season, flashing his tremendous skill, but he clearly had room to improve, especially on the glass and with his demeanor. This year, he has improved on those areas, increasing his scoring (12.7 to 16.0) and rebounding (6.5 to 9.5), while also averaging just under four assists. Monroe was named to the Big East first-team, and will likely be drafted in the lottery.
