Craig Brackins played at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, where he averaged 18.1 points and 9.3 rebounds. The five-star recruit (#18 Rivals; #17 Scout) picked Iowa State over offers from Pittsburgh, Clemson, and Illinois, becoming most highly-touted prospect in Cyclone history. Brackins started as a freshman at ISU, averaging 11.4 ppg and 5.0 rpg. He improved greatly in his sophomore campaign, averaging nearly twenty points and nine rebounds per contest and solidifying himself as a first round prospect. Brackins opted to return to the Cyclones his junior season, however, and did not live up to expectations. He had a solid year, averaging 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest, but has dropped on many draft boards.
