Player Biography: Take a look at the top 10 players in the 2008 recruiting class. Only one, Scotty Hopson, is still playing college basketball. The question is, why? In short, he is enigmatic. Clearly Hopson has all of the physical tools an NBA shooting guard needs: good size, explosiveness, and quickness. He is a scorer with a smooth jumper. But then there are games when he doesn't show the effort necessary to succeed, settling for jumpers or failing to work hard defensively. Hopson is likely worth the gamble in the second round, but I think it would be too much risk to take him any earlier.
