Player Biography: The son of former NBA player Terry Davis, North Carolina forward Ed Davis's minutes were limited as a freshman by the presence of Tyler Hansbrough, though he flashed his defensive potential and some post skill. With his role expanded as a sophomore, Davis was expected to show great improvements. While Davis finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds per game, it was was somewhat of a disappointing campaign for Davis and an underachieving Tar Heel squad; his lack of strength and offensive polish was still evident. If Davis chooses to declare in 2010, he will still likely be a lottery pick, but he may be better served returning for another year.
