 | Ed Davis #32 College: North Carolina Class: Sophomore NBA Position: Power Forward Height: 6'9" Weight: 225 lbs Birthday: 6/5/1989 |
Player Biography: The son of former NBA player Terry Davis, North Carolina forward Ed Davis's minutes were limited as a freshman by the presence of
Tyler Hansbrough, though he flashed his defensive potential and some post skill. With his role expanded as a sophomore, Davis was expected to show great improvements. While Davis finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds per game, it was was somewhat of a disappointing campaign for Davis and an underachieving Tar Heel squad; his lack of strength and offensive polish was still evident. If Davis chooses to declare in 2010, he will still likely be a lottery pick, but he may be better served returning for another year.
Strengths: • Strong rebounder • Good finisher at the rim • Hard worker with high motor • Natural shot-blocker • Ideal length for position • Potential
| Weaknesses: • Needs time to develop • Lacks physical strength • Somewhat mechanical offensively • Must improve mid-range game |
