Summers Declares for Draft

Excerpt from the Washington Post:

On the heels of their most disappointing season in the five-year tenure of Coach John Thompson III, Georgetown has lost its leading scorer, junior forward DaJuan Summers, who will skip his senior year and declare for the NBA draft.

Thompson announced Summers' decision through a statement released by the university Monday afternoon. Summers could not be reached to comment.

Summers led the Hoyas in scoring this season, averaging 13.6 points per game. But his play lagged as the Hoyas stumbled down the stretch, failing to make the NCAA tournament just two years after advancing to the Final Four.
