Hansbrough Drafted in Lottery
Excerpt from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
The Indiana Pacers made Tyler Hansbrough a lottery pick with the 13th selection in the NBA Draft. Hansbrough was on hand at Madison Square Garden to celebrate with his mom, Tami, his brother, Greg, and his father, Gene.
Before he started working out for NBA teams, most experts figured Hansbrough would be a late first-round pick. But his celebrated work ethic and underrated athletic ability surprised some scouts.
"I'm going to have to prove them wrong," Hansbrough told ESPN's Mark Jones when he was asked about his doubters during a brief interview following his selection.
