Player Biography Wesley Johnson has had an interesting road to becoming a potential lottery pick in the NBA draft. After high school, Johnson initially committed to Louisiana Monroe, but decided against it and went to prep school at Patterson School in North Carolina. Johnson's time at Pattterson lasted for two months before he transferred to Eldon Academy in Michigan. Eventually, he committed to Iowa State and was a solid player for the Cyclones, averaging over 12 points per contest. After his sophomore year, however, Johnson transferred to Syracuse and sat out the 2008-09 season. As a junior, Johnson has stepped up as the star for the Orange, averaging 16 points on his way to Big East Player of the Year honors.
