Dayton's Chris Wright to Test Waters

Excerpt from the Dayton Daily News:

With his family seated near him at the Donoher Center to offer support and with the full backing of Dayton coach Brian Gregory, junior forward Chris Wright announced he is putting his name in the NBA draft today.

He’s not hiring an agent, however, leaving open the possibility of returning for his senior year.

“I’ll be going through workouts every day to improve my mental game and basketball game,” Wright said. “It’s hard to grind and grind and grind. It’s hard to do that, but it has to be part of your DNA. After all of that, the scouts will let us know the information based on the workouts I went through. If it’s exactly where we want it to be, I’ll stay (in the draft). If not, the NBA is just another option.”
