Samardo Samuels to Stay in Draft
Excerpt from the Louisville Courier-Journal:
University of Louisville forward Samardo Samuels will keep his name in the NBA draft and forgo his final two years of eligibility, according to his mother.
Jacqueline Samuels said Tuesday night that the would-be junior was training in Washington, D.C.
“He is entering the draft and not returning to Louisville,” his mother said when reached by phone at their home in Trelawny, Jamaica.
The 6-foot-9, 260-pound Samuels was a two-year starter for the Cardinals and averaged 15.3 points and seven rebounds last season.
