Korie Lucious Transferring to Iowa State

Excerpt from the Des Moines Register:

Korie Lucious got right to the point when asked Wednesday about why he selected Iowa State for the remainder of his one-and-done college basketball career.

“It’s the best playing opportunity for me to get where I eventually want to go,” the former Michigan State starter said by phone.

“Coach (Fred) Hoiberg has connections, a lot of connections, to the NBA.”

Lucious, a guard, will sit out next season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules. He will be a senior for the 2012-13 season.
