Player Biography: Willie Warren was a top 20 recruit (#10 Rivals; #19 Scout) out of North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Warren led the school to the Texas 5A state title as a senior, averaging 24.9 points, 4.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.4 steals. The 2008 Gatorade Texas Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year received offers from all over the country but signed with Oklahoma. As a freshman, Warren, averaging over fifteen points, played a key role for the Blake Griffin led Oklahoma Sooners. Warren's decision to stay at Oklahoma for his sophomore season did not pan out as well as planned. He averaged 16.3 points and 4.1 assists per game, but missed 10 games, including the last 6 games of the season due to an ankle injury.
