Player Biography: Babbitt, a top 30 recruit (#31 Rivals; #24 Scout), committed to his home state of Nevada over offers from Gonzaga, Arizona, Ohio State, Syracuse, and UCLA among others. He quickly made an impact on the Wolf Pack, averaging 16.9 points and 7.4 rebounds as a freshman and earning First Team All-WAC honors along with being named WAC Freshman of the Year. Babbitt stepped up his game as a sophomore, averaging 21.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest. The 2010 WAC Player of the Year has declared for the NBA draft, joining teammate Armon Johnson. Babbitt is a great scorer from anywhere on the court and has not failed to impress NBA scouts at his workouts. His draft stock has rocketed from a late first-round selection into a lottery pick.
