Draft Profile: Georgia Tech PF Derrick Favors

Derrick Favors #14
College: Georgia Tech
Class: Freshman
NBA Position: Power Forward
Height: 6'9"
Weight: 230 lbs
Birthday: 7/15/1991
Player Biography: Considered the top recruit in the nation, Derrick Favors, an Atlanta native, elected to stay close to home and signed with Georgia Tech. Clearly, he was expected to make an immediate and major impact on the collegiate level. Favors' freshman campaign was solid but unspectacular, averaging 11.7 points and 8.3 rebounds. Though good enough for ACC Freshman of the Year honors, his player has been somewhat underwhelming in comparison to fellow freshmen John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins. Nonetheless, Favors is still considered a top-five prospect with high upside. The Nets could be a good fit.
