Draft Profile: Kansas SG Xavier Henry

Xavier Henry
College: Kansas
Class: Freshman
NBA Position: Shooting Guard
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 220 lbs
Birthday: 3/15/1991
Player Biography: After some question about where he would play college ball, Xavier Henry ultimately chose Kansas. He did not disappoint early, putting up impressive numbers against non-conference opponents. However, Henry came back down to earth a bit in Big 12 play as he adjusted to the level of play. Since February, however, Henry has reached double figures in all but one game, finishing the season averaging nearly 14 points for a loaded Jayhawk squad. His size, strength, and skill on the perimeter are tough to match and make him an interesting prospect to watch this summer.

Strengths:
• Strong, NBA-ready body
• Decent athlete
• Good perimeter shooter
• Basketball IQ
• Works hard on the defensive end
• Unselfish passer
Weaknesses:
• Not very explosive or quick
• Struggles guarding quick guards
• Room for improvement in isolation
