Draft Profile: UNC SF Harrison Barnes

Harrison Barnes #40
College: North Carolina
Class: Freshman
NBA Position: Small Forward
Height: 6'8"
Weight: 210 lbs
Birthday: 5/30/1992

Player Biography: It is not a stretch to say that Harrison Barnes, a native of Ames, Iowa, was the most hyped freshman in (recent) college basketball history; he was the first freshman ever named a pre-season All-American. With such high expectations, it should be no surprise that Barnes was a disappointment, looking overwhelmed by the college game as he shot under 40% from the field. While many were quick to Barnes off after that slow start, he has really started to turn it around in ACC play. As of mid-February, Barnes has increased his scoring to 15.5PPG on 46.7% shooting. While Barnes has been surpassed by fellow freshmen Perry Jones and Kyrie Irving, he should still be considered a lottery talent.
