Illinois' Davis to Test Draft Waters

Just two days after Demetri McCamey declared himself eligible for the 2010 NBA Draft, junior forward Mike Davis followed suit.

Davis, who led the Big Ten in rebounding this season with 9.2 boards per game, put his name into the draft pool Friday.

“I have decided to take this opportunity following my junior season and enter my name in the NBA Draft,” Davis, who was unavailable for comment, said in a press release.

“I’ve been training hard with my teammates this spring and am looking forward to workouts where I will be able to evaluate my ability to compete at the next level.”
