Marshon Brooks Quits School for NBA Draft
Excerpt from the Providence Journal:
Marshon Brooks can see his future, and it does not include graduating from Providence College this May.
Brooks does intend to earn his diploma from PC, and he says he’s only two classes short of a degree in Social Science. But his immediate career goals revolve around gaining strength, adding quickness and polishing his basketball skills in advance of this June’s NBA Draft.
He left PC last week for spring break but is not planning to continue classes through the final few weeks of this semester.
“This is the best idea,” Brooks said Saturday from his mother’s home in Atlanta. “I don’t want to cut myself short. I have to be as sharp as possible.”
