Player Biography: James was a mid-level recruit (#61 Rivals; #43 Scout) from Richmond, Indiana.  As a senior at Richmond High School, James averaged 31.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game.  He selected Marquette over Iowa, Michigan State, Purdue, and Ohio State.  James was the 2005-2006 Big East Rookie of the Year, averaging 15.4 ppg to go along with 5.4 assists.  He was also named an Honorable Mention All-Big East.  While his statistics decreased his sophomore year, he was still named to the Big East All-Conference First Team, averaging 14.9 points and 4.9 assists per contest.  James received All-Big East Second Team honors as a junior, with averages of 12.9 points and 4.4 assists.  James's senior season ended on February 25, 2009, when he broke his foot against UCONN.
